Meet Dr. Hassan

Dr. Mohamed Hassan

Dr. Hassan earned his BDS from Alexandria Dental School. After several years of practicing general dentistry, he completed a Fellowship in Craniomandibular dysfunction from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1997. He completed his Masters in Dental Science in 2001, his DMD in 2003, and his post-graduate program in periodontology in 2007. In 2007 he also became a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Hassan served as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Division Head in the Restorative Department of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After specializing in periodontology, he joined the faculty of the periodontology department at Harvard Dental School. He continues to teach at Harvard and serves as a specialist in several private practices in the Greater Boston area.

Dr. Hassan lectures nationally and internationally on a variety of topics that include TMD, periodontolgy and implant dentistry. Dr. Hassan is a member of several professional organizations, including being a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Dr Hassan is married and has four children. His wife Mona has a Ph.D. in child development and their family resides in Quincy, MA. They enjoy traveling to explore different parts of the world as well as swimming and other sports with their children.
